Reverse Osmosis For Pool Water In Dallas

If you have heard of Reverse Osmosis (RO) you are probably aware of what it’s used for. Typically, the most common application is for drinking water and this application is usually installed under the sink in your home. But did you know, this application is extremely inefficient? In fast it wastes a lot of water but when it comes to industrial applications like that of swimming pools it is much better. So, what is RO? Quite simply, it is a process that removes calcium, salts, waterborne diseases, phosphates and so much more to provide you with the best quality of water! In the swimming pool industry, this means it lowers Calcium Hardness, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Cyanuric Acid (CYA), and so much more without draining the swimming pool!

In the Dallas area, the water coming out of our tap is loaded with calcium, magnesium and other hardness minerals. Depending on where you live in Texas the water coming out of the tap is at a minimum of 300 parts per million (ppm). The most optimal range for swimming pools is between 200 and 400 ppm but as water evaporates those hardness minerals remain in solution and gradually increase over time. As this happens, calcium will scale filtration equipment, the water tile line, the interior finish, and destroy water features. When this happens (typically after 2-3 years) residential and commercial property swimming pool owners will need to change out the water in the pool. If you choose to do a typical drain and refill, this process can take up to 2-3 days, the chance of ruining your interior increases and the water is moderately hard from the tap. Whereas, Weber Pools offers RO Mobile Filtration using the Puripool Process, which comes to your house or commercial property and recycles the water onsite.

This form of filtration lowers Calcium Hardness, TDS, phosphates, salts, waterborne diseases, CYa and so much more without draining the swimming pool. This takes the risk of ruining your liner out of the question, it puts drinking quality water back in your swimming pool, it conserves 85% of the existing water in the pool and you can swim in the pool while the process is being done. It is completely safe for your swimming pool, it can be performed all year round and when it is performed every couple of years it can prolong the lifespan of your swimming pool!

In addition to this, brushing, skimming, vacuuming, and balancing your water chemistry on a regular basis…. all will go a long way in assuring that you have a clean pool that is ready to swim in. At Weber Pools, we offer weekly pool service and maintenance, The Puripool Process, and so much more. If you’re interested in learning how we can help you?
