Changing Out Your Pool Water

Is your residential or commercial swimming pool water old or hard? Has any pool professional ever told you that your Calcium Hardness, TDS, or CYA levels are high and that it’s time to drain your swimming pool? If so, we hope this blog post answers the biggest question of why drain when you can recycle? If you have a swimming pool this is a service you will definitely want to know more about. It will save you time, money and swimming in pools with recycled swimming pool water are a lot more fun.

As a swimming pool owner, due to evaporation which is extremely high in Dallas during the summer, you will need to add water to your swimming pool fairly often. During the long hot summer months, the amount of water you will be adding will increase due to increased evaporation. Our water in the Dallas area is loaded with calcium, magnesium, and other hardness minerals. When you regularly introduce this water into your swimming pool, the hardness content in the water will increase. It increases because as water evaporates, the hardness minerals remain in solution and gradually increase in concentration. Unfortunately, as these minerals build up they will start scaling your tile, the interior finish, filtration equipment, spillways, and decorative water features. If you own a salt chlorinator it will also cause problems with those too. Soon, your backyard paradise will be covered with calcium scale that can be extremely hard to remove. With that being said, to help combat this problem, we recommend changing out the water in your swimming pool every two years at a minimum. This will help prevent excess calcium scale, struggles with maintaining proper chemistry in your swimming pool and most importantly your swim experience will be much better because of the feel of the water. In summary, we recommend recycling your swimming pool water regularly with the Puripool Process.

At Weber Pools, we offer a Reverse Osmosis (RO) mobile filtration trailer that can lower/remove calcium, magnesium, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Cyanuric Acid (CYA), phosphates, nitrates, salts and waterborne diseases without draining the swimming pool. There are two hoses that come out of the trailer which continually feeds the swimming pool water into the trailer while the RO membranes lower the hardness. This process will return drinking quality water back to the swimming pool, the liner will never be exposed and you can swim in the pool while the process is being performed. This process will conserve up to 85% of the existing water in the swimming pool and will give you the best water quality to swim in. The benefits of using this process will help extend the lifespan of your investment, will allow you to conserve much-needed water and give you a much better end product than a drain and refill. Not to mention, we can filter most residential swimming pools in less than a day.
